Christy Bunn

Welcome! My name is Christy Bunn. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate with experience providing counseling to children, adolescents, teens, and adults. I Specialize grief, depression, anxiety, and trauma-related counseling. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy approaches. I earned my Bachelors in Psychology from Hardin-Simmons University and my Masters in Counseling from The University of North Texas. I've worked in a few clinical settings ever since. I am a passionate and empathetic therapist with strong counseling abilities and an understanding of interpersonal relationships. I have experience leading clients through coping skills training, emotional regulation, mindfulness, distress tolerance training, as well as identifying/disputing/replacing unproductive negative thoughts. Through clinical experience, compassion, and empathy I support and assist those willing to make a positive difference in their lives. I pride myself in providing a safe, nonjudgemental and supportive space, to work side by side to overcome traumas, and barriers. I am fully committed to listen and offer my best professional practices to help you. I am committed to making all of my clients feel heard, validated and understood.
