Introduction
I believe that you are the expert in your own life. Ultimately, you know what will work best for your individual needs and desired outcomes. I value the ability to assist and guide you to a place of mental clarity. Counseling can be overwhelming, intimidating, and sometimes even scary. My goal is to make this process easier for you by providing a welcoming, safe space to process your feelings and concerns without the fear of judgment.
I obtained my Bachelor of Social Work with a minor in Psychology from Grand Valley State University, then continued my education through Grand Valley State University and received my Master's of Social Work. I have several years of experience working with people who have worked through depression, self-harm, anxiety, self-esteem, and mood dysregulation. The populations I serve include children, adolescents, adults, LGBTQIA+, and families. I am passionate about working with clients of all cultural, socioeconomic, and ethnic backgrounds. Using a trauma-informed, strength-based approach, I can meet the client's needs where they are at, facilitating the opportunity for personal growth. I have the professional training and personal experience of finding a balance between managing day-to-day interactions and the effects of past experiences. Be proud of yourself for taking this first step into self-improvement and finding what works best for your life goals.
