Hello, I am Morelis! I am a licensed social worker in New York and completed my undergraduate degree in Social Work from Concordia College. I began working alongside youth in the beginning of my career and transitioned to working alongside adults while obtaining my masters degree in Social Work from Fordham University in 2018.  I have experience providing counseling with clients who have experienced anxiety, panic attacks, depression, mood disorders, dual diagnosis (substance abuse/mental health), and have been working in the field over four years. I specialize in addressing personal and family distress, setting boundaries, trauma, dissociation, relationship issues, and so on. Providing a safe space in the therapy room is always a priority. I firmly believe that showing up to the therapy room is showing up for oneself. I am passionate about helping to identify and acknowledge individual strengths, attributes, and goals. I take an open-minded approach to help with refocusing the mind. I am a therapist you can count on as I remain loyal to my word. With my empathetic approach, some wittiness and overall support, I will be able to provide insights to help you find inner balance. I appreciate you for taking this step for yourself and choosing me to be a part of your journey.    Look forward to meeting you!
