Introduction
Hello, my name is Marlin. I am licensed to see clients in Illinois and Texas. “You have your way. I have my way. As for the right way, the correct way, and the only way, it does not exist.” - Friedrich Nietzsche. As a therapist I believe in helping clients find their genuine way by uncovering issues that are preventing them from reaching their potential. I have grown as a therapist with everyone who has been a client. I strive not to view them as another client but another person I can learn about and help. I aim to offer a humanistic approach to therapy that allows clients to be themselves and own who they are while understanding that some adjustments might need to be made. I strive to create a therapeutic alliance based on what a client wants. Therapy is a journey that requires effort and energy from the client(s) and therapist. We are forced to deal with critical issues almost daily and it might be best to talk with someone who can help you uncover meanings and declutter emotions that have inhibited your progress. If you are someone with concerns related to racial identity, depression, anxiety, stress, sexual issues, or trauma then I can help.
