Hello, I am Monica Atkinson! I am a family physician with 20 plus years experience in treating numerous conditions and I have special interest in counseling patients with anxiety, stress, sleep disturbances and depression. I am able to understand multiple mental health conditions, not only through the eyes of a counselor but also from medical, scientific point of view. I am Romanian and I have multiple Romanian speaking patients in my practice. Because I participated in few initiatives to improve Healthcare Services in patients with Intellectual Developmental Disabilities who are nonverbal ,I became very skilled at reading body language and nonverbal communication. I am very empathetic towards the Caregivers of such patients and understand their struggles and frustrations as they navigate the health care systems.
