My name is LaTanya "Tanya". I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Georgia. My career started many moons ago. I have been in Social Services since 1999 and started providing specific Mental Health Services in 2005. During my career, I have offered mobile crisis services, inpatient services, and various modes of outpatient service delivery. Currently, I provide clinical outpatient services in a private practice setting by way of tele-mental health services which are conducted virtually via HIPPA supported platforms including those in Atlanta. It is accessible to all populations. I offer individual counseling sessions and assessments to individuals referred via EAP program and/or self-referred. I utilize the following modalities and interventions to assist my clients: Supportive Reflection, Mindfulness Training, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Career Consultation, and Mood/Emotional Self-Regulation. Clients experiencing major life adjustment challenges, sadness, anxiety, or need assistance with mood regulation can expect assistance with processing their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in an effort to be more effective and functional in life. Clients experiencing life stage and career/school difficulties can expect additional support in the areas of career assessment, time management, and overall work-life-school balance. In therapy, we work together as a team towards your progress one step at a time until we ultimately reach your comfortable place... patience, accountability, and effort are essential to the therapeutic process. I am approachable and practical. You can count on my empathetic and person-centered approach towards every conversation we have.
