Introduction
Hello! My name is Elizabeth Chery and I am Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have my master’s degree in social work from University of New England. I have experience working with anxiety, depression, grief and loss, addiction, relationship concerns, and other life experiences. I believe that each person has their own story that has shaped what they are currently experiencing. Through my work, I strive to foster a safe space where clients can tell their story, gain insight into how that has impacted them, and create a new reality that is more fulfilling. I purposefully incorporate multicultural concepts into each case, because I feel culture greatly influences how we interact with those around us and can help us to define our strengths. I truly believe that therapy is for everyone, but not every therapist is for every client: therefore, I encourage open communication regarding the process of therapy so clients can best overcome their obstacles. I utilize various therapeutic approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. I has been providing psychotherapy for over 6+ years in a variety of settings.
