Hello, I am Hagar (rhymes with car!), I'm an English and Hebrew speaking Advanced Practice Social Worker, Licensed in Wisconsin. I have about six years of experience providing therapy and counseling to clients in need. My primary focuses are substance abuse and mental illness. I earned my Bachelors in Psychology from The University of Iowa and my Masters in Social Work from The University of Southern California. I've worked in various clinical settings ever since, including rehabilitation services, criminal institutions, community care and mental health. I am a passionate and empathetic therapist with strong counseling abilities and an understanding of interpersonal familial relationships. I have experience leading clients through substance abuse, mental health (including but not limited to, Borderline Personality, Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar, Schizophrenia), self-harm and suicidal thoughts, to name a few. Through clinical experience, compassion, and empathy I support and assist those willing to make a positive difference in their lives. I pride myself in providing a safe and supportive space, to work side by side to overcome traumas, and barriers. I utilize therapeutic techniques from several therapeutic modalities and with a trauma informed, person centered approach. I am fully committed to my clients and am a driven, motivated, critical, and creative thinker and will never judge. Thank you for taking the first step and for allowing me to be part of this very important journey and I look forward to meeting you!
