Tyishia James

Hello, I am Tyishia James. I am a licensed Social Worker in the states of New York and New Jersey. I have over 15 years of experience in the field of Social Services in a variety of capacities including adults, children and families.

I completed my undergraduate studies at Long Island University with a major in Sociology and Anthropology and my graduated studies were completed at Queens college where I majored in Urban Studies and at Kean University in New Jersey where I completed my MSW degree. I am an empathic clinician and pride myself in providing a therapeutic environment that is safe and supportive.

I am a clinician who firmly believes clients are experts on themselves and I am here to provide additional support to assist clients reach their individual goals. I understand all individuals have experienced trauma within their lives and the result can directly impact an individuals ability to reach their full potential.

As a clinician cultural awareness is a significant factor in the engagement process and understanding we all have different views and beliefs that make us the amazing human beings we are.
