Timothy Coldiron
LMFT, LPCC
Hello!
My name is Tim Coldiron. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT 109006) and a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC 6942). I provide a wide range of support, including, but not limited to, clients struggling with grief, substance abuse, depression and anxiety, adjustment and identity issues, as well as providing therapy for individuals and couples.
I received a B.A. in Psychology at San Jose State University and then an M.A. in Counseling Psychology at Santa Clara University. I completed most of my practicum at Bill Wilson Center in San Jose. I worked with grieving families, middle school and high school aged adolescents, as well as adults (individuals and couples). I finished my practicum at Kaiser Permanente and have been employed with them since 2017. I work specifically in the Addiction Medicine Department and work with adults who struggle with substance abuse. In that clinic, we work both with an abstinence-based level of care and a harm-reduction based level of care.
I am an authentic and empathetic person; I provide therapy that fits the saying "soft front, strong back." Honesty is key and the therapeutic relationship is instrumental when it comes to the client changing and bettering their life. I expect my clients to be open and honest with me about what they need and how I can support them.
Thank you for taking the time to read this! I look forward to meeting you and helping you achieve the goals you have to better your life!
