Sharlene LeGendre

Sharlene LeGendre is a Licensed Social Worker


A native of Trinidad and Tobago, Sharlene obtained a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Long Island University in 2003, and a master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from Adelphi University in 2007.


Sharlene has worked as a Mental Health Counselor in both the public and private sectors since 2003. She specializes in supporting students and families experiencing severe trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and traumatic loss. She provides counseling services to families dealing with ADHD, Personality Disorders, mild to severe Autism, and a host of other stressors.


Sharlene continues to enhance, build, and develop her skills by receiving ongoing training and certifications. After obtaining her master’s degree, Sharlene pursued additional training and certification in the following areas:


· Advanced Trauma Treatment for Children and Adolescents

· Trauma and Addiction

· Personality Disorders: Advanced Diagnosis, Treatment, and Management
