Sara Letizia
LPC-A
I began my own journey of healing in my late teenage years, which ignited a passion within me to help others. I obtained a bachelor’s degree in Applied Psychology and Human Relations from Pace University in New York, and then completed a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Fordham University in New York. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in the state of Texas and I am under the supervision of Julia Ayraud, MA, LPC-S.
I have worked in various settings within the helping field since 2012. I have worked in a psychological research lab, clinical neuropsychology practice, dual diagnosis treatment centers, and private practice.
As a therapist, I have experience providing individual, group, family, and couples therapy. I have worked with a wide array of issues including, but not limited to, substance use disorders, trauma, anxiety, depression, mood and psychotic disorders, relationship anxiety, and women’s issues.
Although I have a ecclectic approach to meet the unique needs of each client, I believe people heal through relationships. Therefore, I ground my therapy in a person-centered approach and pull from various models including Psychodynamic, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy models. I believe in providing a nurturing environment where clients feel safe enough to show up authentically.
