Natasha Dezonie

I am a licensed psychotherapist with experience in treating clients dealing with various mental health illnesses. Through my professional experience, I have provided mental health services to adolescents, adults, and Families.

With the right tools, everyone has the power to be their own
healer. As you heal, you will thrive in every area of your life and so will your confidence, self-love, and your relationships. Healing is not a linear process. This means it takes TIME to truly heal. As I guide you through your healing process, it is important to stay patient, open, non-judgmental of yourself, and stay excited and committed to your healing journey.

My trauma-informed background has equipped me with the skills and techniques to aid people experiencing symptoms of anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, eating disorders, family conflict, grief, trauma, or stress management.
My clinical techniques used to promote holistic wellness include evidenced-based practices such as Psychoeducation, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Trauma-Focused Therapy, Brief Solution Focused Therapy, and Narrative therapy. I strive to help my clients achieve and sustain mental wellness through the support, education, and awareness of developing effective coping practices for life events through clinical and wellness empowerment. In addition, as a holistic health practitioner from Queen Afua University, I understand the significance of obtaining balance through mind, body, and soul. Incorporating strategic breathwork, nutrition, guided imagery, expressive arts, psycho-spiritual therapies method, and complementary/alternative medicine to help develop appropriate internal response and management to intense mental state, emotional, and or physical experiences.
My professional experience includes specialized training in crisis management, suicidality, trauma, homelessness, grief, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, body image, food addiction, holistic weight- loss, and end-of-life care. I work to create a safe space for individuals to talk openly about what they are experiencing and find attainable solutions that are client-centered. I understand as your therapist the importance of our collaborative commitment to your therapeutic journey and I wholeheartedly believe through clinical transparency, we can help to achieve a life transformation.
I look forward to the opportunity to support you or your loved ones grow through my clinical services. I thank you in advance for entrusting me to be a part of your healing journey. I look forward to connecting with you.
