Molly Parsons
LMFT, LPCC
Hello! It's a pleasure meeting you; I'm Molly.
I'm a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT 122990) and licensed professional clinical counselor (LPCC 11187) providing couples counseling to clients in need. Couples counseling can be anxiety provoking, uncomfortable, and upsetting (to name a few), but it can also be reconnecting, relieving, and hopeful. I use humor to connect with couples and reduce some of the awkwardness that can come from opening up your most intimate relationship to a stranger. Couples counseling is a joint process where we all contribute and work together to find solutions that make sense for your specific relationship. I welcome clients of any culture, ethnicity, faith, sexual orientation, gender, ability, age, etc. and will tailor therapy specific to your background(s) and what is important to you and your partner(s).
I earned my Bachelors in Theatre Arts at San Francisco State University and my Masters in Psychology from Phillips Graduate University. I've worked in many different clinical settings including schools, clinics, out in the community, private homes, and now telehealth. I am a passionate and energetic therapist with strong counseling abilities and an understanding of interpersonal familial relationships. I have experience leading couples through infidelity, trust issues, loss of connection, intimacy issues, unhelpful communication, financial issues, faith issues, family issues, time management, and changes in life including engagement, marriage, pregnancy, adoption/fostering, becoming parents, empty nest, loss of a loved one, separation, and mindful divorce. Through clinical experience, collaboration, and empathy I support couples willing to make a positive difference in their lives by examining themselves, each other, and their dynamic. I pride myself in providing a safe and supportive space, to work side by side to overcome the barriers to change.
I am fully committed to listen and offer my best professional practices to help you. You can count on my active and person-centered approach towards every conversation we take part in. Thank you for taking the first step and for allowing me to be part of this very important journey.
I look forward to hearing from you!
