Mary Schuler DeWitt

Hello, I am Dr. Mary DeWitt! I'm an English-speaking therapist licensed in New York as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with 10+ Years of experience providing individual counseling as well as various types of counseling to clients in need. I earned my Bachelor's in Psychology and Linguistics from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and my Masters's in Developmental Psychology and a Doctor of Education in Psychology and Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. In addition, I earned an Advanced Certificate in Mental Health Counseling from Long Island University and a Doctor of Psychology from California Southern University. I've worked in many different clinical settings ever since graduate school. I am a passionate and empathetic therapist with strong counseling abilities and an understanding of interpersonal and familial relationships. I have experience leading clients through different types of therapy including ACT, CBT, DBT, and others. Through clinical experience, compassion, and empathy I support and assist those willing to make a positive difference in their lives. I pride myself in providing a safe and supportive space, to work side by side to overcome traumas and barriers. I specialize in addressing coping techniques using ACT, CBT, DBT as well as other types of specific therapies. I am fully committed to listening and offer my best professional practices to help you.
