Hello, I am Martesha Collins!

I'm a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern and PsyD candidate. I currently hold two state licenses including my Registered Clinical Social Work Intern license and Certified Behavioral Health Case Manager license. With my licensure, I have a total of 8 years of mental and behavioral health experience and mental health counseling. Throughout my 8-year tenure, I have specialized in providing the following modalities of treatment: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Existential Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy.

I earned my first bachelor's degree in Communication Studies with a minor in Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies from Florida Atlantic University, my second Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Florida International University, my first Master's degree in Social Work from Barry University, my second Master's degree in Psychology from Carlos Albizu University where I am currently a doctoral student receiving my PsyD in Clinical Psychology. I've worked in over 7 different clinical settings that specialized directly with populations from human trafficking, youth, geriatrics, grief and loss, forensics, oncology, substance abuse, and community mental health.

I am a passionate and empathetic therapist with strong counseling abilities and an understanding of adverse trauma experiences and interpersonal and familial relationships. I have experience leading clients through grief counseling, strengths-based focused, self-esteem dyads, and much more! Through clinical experience, compassion, and empathy I support and assist those willing to make a positive difference in their lives. I pride myself in providing a safe and supportive space, to work side by side to overcome variations of traumas and barriers. I specialize in addressing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Existential Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy. I am fully committed to listening and offering my best professional practices to help you.

I am extremely outgoing and personable with a genuine interest in helping others problem solve and maintain a sense of mental stability. You can count on my empathetic and person-centered approach towards every conversation we take part in.
