Hello, I am Lisa!
I'm a NYS Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and a Certified Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) with 9 years of experience in counseling clients in need.
I earned my Bachelor's in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice and my Master's in Social Work from Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College. I am a passionate and empathetic therapist with strong counseling abilities and an understanding of interpersonal familial relationships. I offer a client center focused approach to help individuals find their resilience through the use of compassion in order to identify patterns that contribute to any difficulties and/or conflict in one's life. I have experience leading clients through developing positive coping skills, problem-solving, goal-setting, and stress management. I also have experience working with individuals dealing with anxiety/depression, trauma, family issues, work-related stress, relationship conflict/issues, and addiction. Through clinical experience, compassion, and empathy I support and assist those willing to make a positive difference in their lives. I pride myself in providing a safe and supportive space, to work side by side to overcome traumas and barriers. I am fully committed to listening and offering my best professional practices to help you.
I am an empathic listener and am attentive to the individual needs of each person. You can count on my empathetic and person-centered approach toward every conversation we take part in. My goal is to create a collaborative focus on empowerment while assisting you in achieving your goals and improving your quality of life.
