Hello, I am Lisa!
I'm a NYS Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and a Certified Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) with 9 years of experience in counseling clients in need.
I earned my Bachelor's in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice and my Master's in Social Work from Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College. I am a passionate and empathetic therapist with strong counseling abilities and an understanding of interpersonal familial relationships. I offer a client center focused approach to help individuals find their resilience through the use of compassion in order to identify patterns that contribute to any difficulties and/or conflict in one's life. I have experience leading clients through developing positive coping skills, problem-solving, goal-setting, and stress management. I also have experience working with individuals dealing with anxiety/depression, trauma, family issues, work-related stress, relationship conflict/issues, and addiction. Through clinical experience, compassion, and empathy I support and assist those willing to make a positive difference in their lives. I pride myself in providing a safe and supportive space, to work side by side to overcome traumas and barriers. I am fully committed to listening and offering my best professional practices to help you.
I am an empathic listener and am attentive to the individual needs of each person. You can count on my empathetic and person-centered approach toward every conversation we take part in. My goal is to create a collaborative focus on empowerment while assisting you in achieving your goals and improving your quality of life. Thank you for taking the first step and for allowing me to be part of this very important journey.
Look forward to meeting you!
