Lia Grover

Hello! I am Lia. I am a licensed social worker, LMSW, with four years in the mental health field.



I earned my Bachelors in Social Work from Marist College and my Masters in Social Work from SUNY Albany. I've worked in many different settings ever since. I am extremely passionate about what I do. I take a strengths based approach and work with individuals to find their own resilience. I believe the key to a good therapy experience is the therapeutic relationship and having a foundation of honesty and trust. I work on providing a safe and empathic environment for people to take their own journey in a way that's comfortable for them. I believe that everyone has the ability to heal their inner self, they just sometimes need a little support. I use Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to do so. I specialize in trauma, but have experience in a wide variety of other issues.



I am reliable and consistent. You can count on me show up and be present with you no matter what life throws at you. Therapy can be an overwhelming and scary thing to start, especially if you've had a negative experience in the past, but you can count on me to take a person-centered approach and to collaborate with you in this process.
