Hello, I am Krystal Smith! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with four years of experience providing individual counseling to those in need.
I earned my Bachelors in Psychology from Argosy University Seattle and my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Crisis and Trauma Counseling and my Masters in Human and Social Services from Walden University. I have worked in Housing First and Community Mental Health settings. I am a passionate and empathetic therapist with strong counseling abilities and an understanding of interpersonal familial relationships.
I have experience leading clients through issues such as grief, divorce, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder, Panic Disorder, Post-traumatic Stress Disorder, Hoarding Disorder, Adjustment Disorder, Schizoaffective Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, and Dissociative Identity Disorder through the use of Existential-humanistic, Acceptance and Commitment, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral, Dialectical Behavioral, Person-Centered, Systematic Desensitization, Cognitive Trauma, Narrative, and Mindfulness techniques.
I pride myself in providing a safe and supportive space to work side by side to overcome traumas and barriers. I specialize in addressing anxiety, depression, trauma and crises. I am fully committed to listen and offer my best professional practices to help you increase supports, utilize strengths, navigate complex barriers, and increase self-esteem to achieve the peace and joy in life that you deserve.
