Kameechy Byrd

Hello, my name is Kameechy! I have been in the mental health field for nearly a decade. I am a licensed social worker.

I earned my bachelor's degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences with a minor in Criminal Justice from Seton Hall University and earned my master's degree im Social Work from Fordham Graduate School of Social Service. I have been fortunate to work in a host of clinical settings which gave me great exposure to a vast variety of client populations. I have experience in leading clients through grief counseling and managing anxiety and depressive symptoms. Through clinical experience, compassion, and empathy I support and assist those willing to make a positive difference in their lives. I pride myself in providing a safe and supportive space, to work side by side to overcome traumas, and barriers. I specialize in addressing depressive and anxious symptoms and have competency in issues surrounding grief, couple's counseling cognitive behavioral therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy for those dealing with a trauma history. I am fully committed to listen and offer my best professional practices to help you.

I am warm and down-to-earth. You can count on my empathetic and person-centered approach towards every conversation we take part on. Thank you for taking the first step and for allowing me to be part of this very important journey.

Look forward to meeting you!
