Joseph Fitzpatrick
LCSW
Hi, my name is Joe.
I’m a New York State licensed clinical social worker who has spent the last five years specializing in therapy for people living with HIV and those identifying as LGBTQIA+. I take a non-judgmental, compassionate approach to therapy with the goal of improving access to high quality mental health services for everyone, regardless of socioeconomic status, identity or background. I believe in the inherent search for acceptance and human connection that is within all of us and I hope to join you on that journey, no matter how daunting it may seem.
I have experience leading clients through depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use and interpersonal conflicts. I utilize an eclectic approach to therapy that includes elements of mindfulness, motivational interviewing and techniques of narrative therapy. I pride myself in providing a confidential and supportive space for introspection and emotional processing, as well as opportunities to learn and achieve new possibilities. I recognize that it is not always easy to seek out therapy or find someone that you can trust. I honor the time spent with my clients and hope to join you in this process. Looking forward to meeting you!
