John Rogers

LPCC

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor LPCC (6291) with eighteen years of experience providing integrating talk and group therapy and testing and research into a comprehensive individualized path for treatment for all clients in need. I earned my bachelor’s in Arts and Science from Kent State University. In addition, I received a Master’s in Criminal Justice from Kent State University and another Masters's in Community Mental Health Counseling from Kent State University. Currently, I am finishing a Doctorate Program in Applied Clinical Psychology at the Chicago School of Profession Psychology. I've worked in many different clinical settings ever since 2004.
I am a passionate and empathetic therapist with strong counseling abilities and an understanding of diverse interpersonal relationships. I have helped clients by integrating counseling modalities and leading clients through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Rogerian and Existential and psychoanalytical, and many more. Through clinical experience, compassion, and empathy, I support and assist those willing to make a positive difference in their lives.
I believe as a therapist that if I am not grateful to help everyone, then I am not qualified to help anyone. I pride myself on providing a safe and supportive space to work side by side to overcome different traumas and barriers. I enjoy working with people who have been in counseling before or wonder what counseling is and how it helps improve the overall quality of one’s life. In addition to that, I specialize in addressing Anxiety, Depression, Anger, Substance abuse, communication issues with couples and families, Life changes, interpersonal functioning, stress management, and learning healthy coping.

I am fully committed to listening and offer my best professional practices to help you. I am invested in seeing the quality of your life increase as you address any issue important to you. You can count on my empathetic and person-centered approach to every conversation we participate in.

Thank you for taking the first step and allowing me to be part of this significant journey.

I look forward to meeting you!
