Jessyca Marshall
LSW, LMSW
Hi there, I’m Jessyca!
I’m a holistically focused Licensed Master’s Level Social Worker in New York and New Jersey. I understand what it is to be human and go through difficult challenges
in life. We all could use support at times that is warm, non-judgmental, welcoming
and understanding.
I have over 20 year’s experience providing individual, family and group counseling
to men, women, children and families. I earned my Bachelors in Social Work with a minor in Sociology from the University of Pittsburgh and my Masters in Social Work from Columbia University. I’ve worked in many different clinical settings throughout
these years providing individual, family and group therapy.
I am a passionate and empathetic therapist with strong counseling abilities and an
understanding of multicultural competency and interpersonal familial relationships. I
have experience leading individuals through healing trauma, increasing self-worth
and self-esteem, functioning in their relationships, and increased life satisfaction
and happiness. We work together discovering inner strengths, getting in tune with
the higher self, rediscovering life’s full potential, and drastically increasing self-
esteem.
I primarily take a strengths based approach, and incorporate other therapeutic
approaches as necessary depending on the presenting needs. I am trained in and
utilize a variety of modalities that include Positive Psychology, Eclectic Therapy,
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Structural Behavioral
Therapy, Multicultural Therapy, Structural Family Therapy and more.
Through clinical experience, compassion, and empathy I support and assist those
willing to make a positive difference in their lives. I pride myself in providing a safe and supportive space for overcoming traumas, and barriers to optimal functioning. I
specialize in taking a completely empowering approach to mental wellness that is
unique to each individual’s journey.
I am fully committed to listen and offer my best professional practices to help you. I am extremely understanding, personable, knowledgeable and caring. You can count
on my empathetic and person-centered approach in every aspect of our
relationship. I thank you in advance for taking the first step and for allowing me to
be part of this very important journey with you.
Look forward to meeting you!
