Hello I am Jamie.
I'm a LPCC in Colorado and an APCC in California. With over 3 years of experience providing therapy to children, families, and adults. I primarily use cognitive behavioral techniques. I also have experience in dialectical behavioral therapy and radical acceptance therapy. Additionally I am emdr trained. I received my Masters of Science in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University. I have had the privilege to work in different clinical settings since.
I am used to working with those who have undergone trauma and I am convinced that with the right set of tools people can overcome trauma and find ways to help themselves to be a healthier person mentally. I have the ability to be emphatic and have strong counseling skills. I give people tools based on their needs.
I find pride in providing a space where clients can feel safe and welcome. I feel clients should feel comfortable with their counselor because that helps them to open up and speak to the way in which they feel. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy primarily and use Dialectical and Radical acceptance therapy as well. Additionally I am EMDR trained.
