Hello, I am Hannah Porterfield!
I am a Licensed Master Social Worker with 5 years of experience providing mental health, addiction, individual, family, and group counseling to clients in need.
I strongly believe: "everyone needs someone sometime."
I earned both my Bachelors of Social Work and Masters of Social Work from Indiana University. I've worked in various clinical settings ever since! I am a passionate and empathetic therapist with strong counseling abilities and a unique understanding of interpersonal familial and non-familial relationships. I have experience leading clients through various mental health diagnoses for themselves and their children. As well as substance use needs, child welfare concerns, grief and loss, generational trauma, and much more! Through my clinical experience, compassion, and competence I support and assist all people willing to make a positive change in their lives. I will provide you a safe, supportive space, and work alongside you to overcome life's obstacles and barriers. We all have them! I specialize in trauma-informed care, restorative practices, cognitive behavior therapy, behavior modification, and motivational interviewing among other areas. As your provider I will remain fully committed to listen and offer my best professional practices to help you.
I am a great listener, dependable, trustworthy, and honest with my clients. You can count on me and my person-centered approach. Thank you for taking the first step and allowing me to be part of your significant journey.
I look forward to meeting you!
