Denisha Forte

LPC-A

Hello, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, and I have over 10 years of experience in the field of mental health. I hold a bachelor’s degree in child development and a master’s degree in Professional Counseling. I am Certified Trauma Practitioner, Certified School Counselor, and have received specialized training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.  I have worked in a variety of clinical settings over the years and am an empathetic therapist with strong counseling abilities and an understanding of interpersonal familial relationships. I find great joy in helping people overcome the struggles of life and aim to create a safe space where clients feel supported and comfortable expressing their thoughts and feelings.  I am passionate about supporting individuals on their mental health journey, and my goal is to aid clients in gaining tools that will move them on a path towards resilience and overcoming life’s obstacles. I am a person-centered therapist and incorporate Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness practices, and solution focused strategies in my therapeutic modalities.  Though I strive to tailor my approach towards the unique needs of my client.  I pride myself in providing a safe and supportive space, to work side by side to overcome traumas, and barriers. Thank you for taking the first step and for allowing me to be part of this very important journey.

Look forward to meeting you!
