Brenda Kyger-Skidgel, M.Ed., LPC, BC-TMH, GC-C
Mental Health Counselor

Brenda is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Board Certified in Tele-mental Health, and Grief & Loss. Brenda holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling from Lamar University. She has previous experience working with adults and adolescents who have encountered grief/loss, relationship issues, behavior issues, anger issues, trauma, eating disorders as well as mood and anxiety disorders. Brenda also worked for a non-profit providing services to victims & offenders of Domestic Violence. She has been utilizing skills from treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.

Tackling the ups, downs, and all-around issues that come along with living a healthy life is no easy target to hit. Every week can bring family emergencies, health problems, relationship issues, and career concerns. With all these things, we cannot ignore how do we go about facing them head-on with strength, self-assurance, and a clear mind?
