Ashlyn Patek
LPC-A
Hello, I am Ashlyn Patek!
I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate with one year of experience providing primarily cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) counseling to clients in need. I earned my Bachelors of Science and Arts in Human Development and Family Sciences from The University of Texas, Austin and my Masters of Science in Professional Counseling from the University of Houston, Victoria. I've worked in various different clinical settings ever since.
I am a passionate and empathetic therapist with strong counseling abilities and an understanding of interpersonal familial relationships. I have experience working with clients of diverse populations who struggle with a variety of issues. However, my passion is working with youth and families, so most of my experience has been counseling adolescents and adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, bullying, and family issues. To treat these clients, I used various counseling approaches and techniques but mostly utilized CBT approaches and art, play, and spiritual techniques. Through clinical experience, compassion, and empathy I support and assist those willing to make a positive difference in their lives.
I pride myself in providing a safe and supportive space, to work side by side to overcome traumas, and barriers. I specialize in using CBT and other technique to address the various issues of adolescents and adults who struggle.
I am fully committed to listen and offer my best professional practices to help you. I am genuine, understanding, friendly, and fun. You can count on my empathetic and person-centered approach towards every conversation we take part on.
Thank you for taking the first step and for allowing me to be part of this very important journey.
Look forward to meeting you!
