Anthony Miele
MD
Hi, I'm Anthony. I grew up in the Chicago area, but now I live in Columbus, Ohio, with my wife and daughter. I am certified in both internal medicine and pediatrics. I have worked for 5 years since completing my residency training providing care to patients of all ages. I spent 2.5 of these years with my family in Honduras where I learned to speak Spanish and worked in a missionary hospital. Since returning to the US in 2021 I have worked both in urgent care and primary care settings.
I, like many, have had my own battle with depression. It began in my late teenage years and has continued, in varying degrees, ever since. I have participated in many of the treatments that I recommend for my own patients (counseling, medication, healthy lifestyle). Why do I mention this? Well, I guess you could say that I want you to know that I try to counsel partially out of my own experiences and struggles. I will be empathetic, understanding and kind. I will see you as a person with value, dignity and potential. I may not always feel as you do, and will not have experienced exactly what you have. But I do understand some of what you are going through. I share the desire to be loved, accepted and happy. I too want to be free of depression, anxiety and fear. Lets work together on your journey.
