Alan Mackie
LCSW-R
I am Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New York State and have a PhD in Clinical Psychology. My 30+ years of experience working with teens, young adults, and their families afford me the opportunity to empathize and relate to a broad range of individuals and their families. While helping people achieve long lasting change, I try to make counseling pleasant and enjoyable. I empower my clients to recognize the comfort and enjoyment of the here and now as we journey through life’s trials and tribulations. I am LGBTQ affirming. Focusing on harm reduction, I utilize a client-centered approach, working from a systems perspective, to help families resolve their internal and external conflicts in a holistic manner. We will work together to help you meet your parenting goals. From my perspective, one’s mind, body and spirit must be strong, healthy and in sync for one to be truly happy and feel fulfilled.
